1| STATE OF OKLAHOMA | | | 2| 1st Session of the 59th Legislature (2023) | | | 3|HOUSE BILL 1445 By: Provenzano | | | 4| | | | 5| | | | 6| AS INTRODUCED | | | 7| An Act relating to schools; requiring school district | | to post information about issuing bonds prior to an | 8| election on its website; providing timeline for | | posting; listing information to be included; | 9| requiring information to remain posted if approved by | | electors; directing posting of certain updated | 10| information regarding bond projects; providing for | | codification; and providing an effective date. | 11| | | | 12| | | | 13| | | | 14|BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: | | | 15| SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified | | | 16|in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 15-110 of Title 70, unless there | | | 17|is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows: | | | 18| A. When a school district board of education calls an election | | | 19|for the purpose of issuing bonds pursuant to Section 15-102 of Title | | | 20|70 of the Oklahoma Statutes, the school district shall, at least | | | 21|thirty (30) days prior to the election, post on its website a copy | | | 22|of the bond proposal, including each project to be funded by the | | | 23|bond proceeds, a description of each project, and the estimated cost | | | 24|for each project. | | | Req. If electors approve the issuing of bonds at an election, the | | | 2|school district shall continue to post on its website the bond | | | 3|information required by subsection A of this section for the | | | 4|duration of the bond and one year after completion of all bond | | | 5|projects. The information posted on the school district website | | | 6|shall also include updates when there is any change order or | | | 7|construction modification to a project funded by the bond. The | | | 8|updated information shall be posted online within thirty (30) days | | | 9|following approval of the change order. | | | 10| SECTION 2.
