 7|       An Act relating to open records; mandating open                 |
  |       records requests be cataloged in searchable format on           |
 8|       the Oklahoma Secretary of State website; providing              |
  |       certain requirements; directing the Oklahoma                    |
 9|       Secretary of State to conduct monthly closeout of               |
  |       fulfilled requests; providing for codification; and             |
10|       providing an effective date.                                    |

13|BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:                  |
  |                                                                       |
14|    SECTION 1.     NEW LAW     A new section of law to be codified     |
  |                                                                       |
15|in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 24A.34 of Title 51, unless there   |
  |                                                                       |
16|is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:               |
  |                                                                       |
17|    Any open records request made of state agencies and other state    |
  |                                                                       |
18|bodies under the Oklahoma Open Records Act of state agencies, and      |
  |                                                                       |
19|other state bodies shall be cataloged and presented in searchable      |
  |                                                                       |
20|form on the Oklahoma Secretary of State website.  The catalog shall    |
  |                                                                       |
21|include the date on which each request was made.  The Secretary of     |
  |                                                                       |
22|State shall, on a monthly basis, review and close out open records     |
  |                                                                       |
23|requests that have been fulfilled.  The Secretary of State shall       |
  |                                                                       |
24|                                                                       |

 1|promulgate rules to carry out their duties in accordance with this     |
  |                                                                       |
 2|section.                                                               |
  |                                                                       |
 3|    SECTION 2.  This act shall become effective November 1, 2023.      |
