 7|       An Act relating to special education; requiring State           |
  |       Department of Education develop certain standards;              |
 8|       providing for codification; and providing an                    |
  |       effective date.                                                 |

11|BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:                  |
  |                                                                       |
12|    SECTION 1.     NEW LAW     A new section of law to be codified     |
  |                                                                       |
13|in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 13-101A of Title 70, unless        |
  |                                                                       |
14|there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:         |
  |                                                                       |
15|    The State Department of Education shall develop standards to       |
  |                                                                       |
16|implement the least restrictive environment requirements in the        |
  |                                                                       |
17|Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) to ensure           |
  |                                                                       |
18|students with special needs are not unnecessarily excluded from the    |
  |                                                                       |
19|classroom.                                                             |
  |                                                                       |
20|    SECTION 2.  This act shall become effective November 1, 2025.      |
  |                                                                       |
