| An Act relating to schools; amending 70 O.S. 2021, |
10| Section 3-119, which relates to school nutrition; |
| requiring sufficient appropriation by the Legislature |
11| to provide meals at no cost to all children enrolled |
| in the school district; providing an effective date; |
12| and declaring an emergency. |

16|BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: |
| |
17| SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 70 O.S. 2021, Section 3-119, is |
| |
18|amended to read as follows: |
| |
19| Section 3-119. Funds Sufficient funds shall be appropriated by |
| |
20|the Legislature to the State Board of Education for School Lunch |
| |
21|Matching and the National School Lunch Programs Program, and shall |
| |
22|be apportioned by the State Board of Education to each school |
| |
23|district for the purpose of providing school meals for at no cost to |
| |
24|all children in compliance with the National School Lunch Act and |
| |

1|the Child Nutrition Act of 1966 and Public Law 91-248, as they may |
| |
2|hereafter be amended or supplemented who are enrolled in the school |
| |
3|district. |
| |
4| SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2023. |
| |
5| SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation |
| |
6|of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby |
| |
7|declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and |
| |
8|be in full force from and after its passage and approval. |
