  |       103.6), which relates to subject matter standards;              |
10|       *** expanding the grades in which certain math units            |
  |       are completed; striking outdated language related to            |
11|       students in alternative education programs; deleting            |
  |       certain data collection and reporting requirement;              |
12|       providing an effective date; and declaring an                   |
  |       emergency.                                                      |

18|                  "computer science", the words "math of finance,"     |

  |                  and insert after the word "course", a comma ","      |
20|                  and the words "or any science course with"           |
  |                                                                       |
21|AMENDMENT NO. 3.  Page 12, line 24, delete the word "is"               |
  |                                                                       |
22|AMENDMENT NO. 4.  Page 13, line 23, restore the stricken period "."    |
  |                  and insert before it the following new language:     |

 1|    "A school district shall determine the specific description of     |

 2|the locally approved math and science based application courses        |
  |                                                                       |
 3|allowed pursuant to paragraphs 2 and 3 of subsection D of this         |

 4|section.  Formal notification with the specific course description     |
  |                                                                       |
 5|shall be provided to the State Department of Education prior to July   |
  |                                                                       |
 6|1 of each school year.  The notification shall include what courses    |
  |                                                                       |
 7|will be coded as locally approved math and science based application   |
  |                                                                       |
 8|courses for the ensuing school year"                                   |
