 7|       An Act relating to state employee compensation;                 |
  |       providing for salary increase for certain state                 |
 8|       employees; providing for salary increase based on               |
  |       compensation amount; specifying certain employees not           |
 9|       eligible for salary increase; providing for                     |
  |       noncodification; and providing an effective date.               |

12|BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:                  |
  |                                                                       |
13|    SECTION 1.     NEW LAW     A new section of law not to be          |
  |                                                                       |
14|codified in the Oklahoma Statutes reads as follows:                    |
  |                                                                       |
15|    A.  Effective July 1, 2026, each state employee who was in         |
  |                                                                       |
16|full-time status as of June 30, 2026, shall receive a salary           |
  |                                                                       |
17|increase of eight and five-tenths percent (8.5%) on salary not in      |
  |                                                                       |
18|excess of Seventy Thousand Dollars ($70,000.00) or two percent (2%)    |
  |                                                                       |
19|on salary in excess of Seventy Thousand Dollars ($70,000.00).          |
  |                                                                       |
20|    B.  The provisions of this section shall not be applicable to      |
  |                                                                       |
21|any person employed by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher           |
  |                                                                       |
22|Education or employed by any college or university within The          |
  |                                                                       |
23|Oklahoma State System of Higher Education.                             |

 1|    C.  The provisions of this section shall not be applicable to      |
  |                                                                       |
 2|any person employed by a common school district.                       |
  |                                                                       |
 3|    SECTION 2.  This act shall become effective November 1, 2026.      |
