  |       A Joint Resolution directing the Secretary of State             |
 8|       to refer to the people for their approval or                    |
  |       rejection a proposed amendment to Section 6 of                  |
 9|       Article III of the Constitution of the State of                 |
  |       Oklahoma; creating the Oklahoma Elections Reform Act            |
10|       of 2023; providing ballot title; and directing                  |
  |       filing.                                                         |

13|BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES AND THE SENATE OF THE   |
  |                                                                       |
14|1ST SESSION OF THE 59TH OKLAHOMA LEGISLATURE:                          |
  |                                                                       |
15|    SECTION 1.  The Secretary of State shall refer to the people for   |
  |                                                                       |
16|their approval or rejection, as and in the manner provided by law,     |
  |                                                                       |
17|the following proposed amendment to the Constitution of the State of   |
  |                                                                       |
18|Oklahoma by adding a new Section 6 to Article III thereof, to read     |
  |                                                                       |
19|as follows:                                                            |
  |                                                                       |
20|    Section 6.  This act shall be known and may be cited as the        |
  |                                                                       |
21|"Oklahoma Election Reform Act of 2023".                                |
  |                                                                       |
22|    SECTION 2.  The Ballot Title for the proposed Constitutional       |
  |                                                                       |
23|amendment as set forth in SECTION 1 of this resolution shall be in     |
  |                                                                       |
24|the following form:                                                    |

 3|THE GIST OF THE PROPOSITION IS AS FOLLOWS:                             |

 4|    This measure adds a new section to Article 3 of the Oklahoma       |
  |                                                                       |
 5|    Constitution. It creates the Oklahoma Elections Reform Act of      |
  |                                                                       |
 6|    2023.                                                              |
  |                                                                       |

13|SECTION 2 hereof, with the Secretary of State and one copy with the    |
  |                                                                       |
14|Attorney General.                                                      |
