1| STATE OF OKLAHOMA | | | 2| 1st Session of the 59th Legislature (2023) | | | 3|SENATE BILL 280 By: Dahm | | | 4| | | | 5| | | | 6| AS INTRODUCED | | | 7| An Act relating to public health; prohibiting | | compulsory immunization by state entity or political | 8| subdivision; prohibiting penalties; providing for | | codification; and declaring an emergency. | 9| | | | 10| | | | 11|BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: | | | 12| SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified | | | 13|in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1-502.5 of Title 63, unless | | | 14|there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows: | | | 15| Notwithstanding any other provision of law, no state entity or | | | 16|political subdivision of this state shall, through direct or | | | 17|indirect means, compel or coerce any person under its jurisdiction | | | 18|to receive any immunization. No person shall be punished through | | | 19|any means including, but not limited to, a monetary fine, for such | | | 20|person's refusal to receive any immunization. As used in this | | | 21|section, "political subdivision" means a county, city, town, school | | | 22|district or other local governmental or public entity located within | | | 23|this state. | | | 24| | | | Req.
