An Act relating to public health; amending 63 O.S. 2021, Section
1-229.23, which relates to prevention of youth access to tobacco; updating
statutory references; and providing an effective date.
SUBJECT: Youth access to tobacco
BE IT
ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1.
AMENDATORY 63 O.S. 2021,
Section 1-229.23, is amended to read as follows:
Section 1-229.23. Any
city or town that enacts and enforces ordinances prohibiting and penalizing
conduct under provisions of Section 600.3, 600.4, 600.8 or 600.9 of this
title Section 1-229.13, 1-229.18, or 1-229.19 of this title or Section
2-8-224 of Title 10A of the Oklahoma Statutes shall furnish information
requested by the ABLE Alcoholic Beverage Laws Enforcement (ABLE)
Commission in the form, manner and time as may be determined by the ABLE
Commission which will allow the ABLE Commission to comply with subsection C
of Section 600.11 of this title subsection H of Section 1-229.22 of this
title.
SECTION 2.
This act shall become effective November 1, 2023.
