NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified | | | 15|in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1-712.1 of Title 63, unless | | | 16|there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows: | | | 17| A hospital, medical facility, or long-term care facility | | | 18|licensed by the State Department of Health shall publish on its | | | 19|website, and keep updated, all policies and procedures of the | | | 20|hospital, medical facility, or long-term care facility. The State | | | 21|Commissioner of Health shall promulgate rules to implement this | | | 22|section. | | | 23| | | | 24| | | | Req. 1| SECTION 2. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified | | | 2|in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1-712.2 of Title 63, unless | | | 3|there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows: | | | 4| A. A hospital, medical facility, or long-term care facility | | | 5|licensed by the State Department of Health shall establish policies | | | 6|and procedures necessary to track and document all additions, | | | 7|deletions, and other edits to a patient's medical records. | | | 8| B. Any person shall have the right to obtain, upon request, | | | 9|detailed information of all additions, deletions, and other edits to | | | 10|his or her medical records made by a hospital, medical facility, or | | | 11|long-term care facility, or those of: | | | 12| 1. A minor child of whom the person is the parent or legal | | | 13|guardian; or | | | 14| 2. Any other patient who lacks capacity to make medical | | | 15|decisions and for whom the person has legal authority to make such | | | 16|decisions and would have legal access to the patient's medical | | | 17|records. | | | 18| SECTION 3.
