7| An Act relating to the Oklahoma Boating Safety |
| Regulation Act; amending 63 O.S. 2021, Section |
8| 4210.3, which relates to the unlawful transportation |
| of weapons; removing certain prohibition; modifying |
9| fine; removing certain exemption; modifying penalty; |
| and providing an effective date. |

12|BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: |
| |
13| SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 63 O.S. 2021, Section 4210.3, is |
| |
14|amended to read as follows: |
| |
15| Section 4210.3. It shall be unlawful to transport a shotgun, |
| |
16|rifle or pistol in or to discharge such weapons a firearm from a |
| |
17|vessel, except for the purposes of self-defense, hunting animals or |
| |
18|fowl, and in compliance with existing state and federal laws. |
| |
19|Anyone violating the provisions of this section, upon conviction, |
| |
20|shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine of |
| |
21|not less than Fifty Dollars ($50.00) and not more than One Hundred |
| |
22|Dollars ($100.00), or by imprisonment in the county jail for not |
| |
23|less than ten (10) days and not more than six (6) three (3) months, |
| |
24|or by both such fine and imprisonment. Any person in possession of |
| |

1|a valid handgun license from this state or a reciprocal state |
| |
2|authorized by the Oklahoma Self-Defense Act shall not be deemed |
| |
3|guilty of transporting a pistol in violation of this section when a |
| |
4|handgun is carried concealed or unconcealed upon or about their |
| |
5|person in compliance with the provisions of the Oklahoma |
| |
6|Self-Defense Act. |
| |
7| SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2023. |
