8| An Act relating to schools; amending 70 O.S. 2021, |
| Section 14-108.2, which relates to agricultural |
9| education programs; modifying grade levels for which |
| programs are to be designed; providing an effective |
10| date; and declaring an emergency. |

13|BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: |
| |
14| SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 70 O.S. 2021, Section 14-108.2, is |
| |
15|amended to read as follows: |
| |
16| Section 14-108.2. A. Agricultural education programs are |
| |
17|designed for junior high and high school grades eight seven through |
| |
18|twelve, and shall be provided by comprehensive school districts. |
| |
19|Technology center school districts shall be prohibited from |
| |
20|operating agricultural education programs or FFA chapters in any |
| |
21|location. |
| |
22| B. Each student enrolled in an agricultural education program |
| |
23|shall participate in a supervised agricultural experience project. |

1| C. For each agricultural education program which is funded by |
| |
2|the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education, the |
| |
3|local school district shall provide transportation services for |
| |
4|agricultural-education-program- and FFA-program-related duties and |
| |
5|activities. |
| |
6| SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2023. |
| |
7| SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation |
| |
8|of the public peace, health, or safety, an emergency is hereby |
| |
9|declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and |
| |
10|be in full force from and after its passage and approval. |
